About This Multiple Sclerosis Study in North Haven

Foralumab is a human anti-CD3 monoclonal antibody being developed for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The goal of this Phase 2a, randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled, multicenter dose-ranging study is to evaluate the use of nasal foralumab in patients with non-active secondary progressive multiple sclerosis (SPMS). The primary objectives that this study aims to answer are: 1. To determine the safety and tolerability of 50 μg/dose and 100 μg/dose of foralumab nasa

Who Can Participate

Inclusion Criteria

Confirmed diagnosis of MS according to the 2017 McDonald criteria . 2. Age 18 years to age 75 years. 3. Confirmed clinical diagnosis of non-active SPMS, for 2 years prior to the screening visit. The baseline study visit and/or the baseline MRI may not be used to confirm the diagnosis but will be used to establish a study baseline and for interpretation of the PET scan data. The second qualifying MRI must be within 3 months of the study screening MRI. 4. MRI imaging consistent with a diagnosis of MS at any time point. 5. Score on the Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) of 2.5-6.5. 6. Have failed standard-of-care treatment with disease-modifying therapies for at least 2 years with continued accumulation of disability as evaluated by treating neurologist. Treatment failure/progression can be defined as EDSS worsening despite best treatment efforts:
EDSS increase by 1.0 (if baseline EDSS between 1.0-5.5) in the past 2 years.
