Recent FDA approvals of anti-amyloid antibodies like lecanemab (Leqembi) and donanemab have opened a new era of disease-modifying treatments. Clinical trials are now exploring next-generation amyloid-clearing therapies, tau-targeting treatments, anti-inflammatory approaches, and combination strategies. Early-stage patients with mild cognitive impairment or early Alzheimer's are frequently sought for enrollment, and many trials now use blood-based biomarkers for screening.
